Reflexology - What to expect
Reflexology is one of the most relaxing holistic therapies available. The treatment is typically performed while lying down or in a lightly seated position and lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. The therapist focuses on massage and acupressure of both feet and lymphatic drainage of the feet and shins up to the knee joints. With soft, relaxing music, you can leave everyday life behind and let yourself go during the treatment. Depending on your reason for seeking a reflexologist, emotions may be released, which is part of the healing process that can occur when body, mind, and spirit are in harmony, a state known as homeostasis.
